It's been 8 years since the 2011 Japan earthquake and tsunami.
The temporary housing in the Tohoku region is being demolished little by little as new life begins away from them.
"Without forgetting the memories and lessons of this disaster, is there anything we can leave for the future and
for the next generations?"
With this in mind, we, together with those involved in the construction of the temporary housings in the Tohoku region, came up with new use of the "YUI LOG" to relocate these temporary housings to Okinoerabu, which is a typhoon-prone area.

仮設住宅の移住も少しずつ行われ、新しい生活が始まりつつある中で、仮設住宅の解体が進んでいます。
「この震災の記憶と教訓を忘れる事なく
後世や未来に少しでも残せる形はないだろうか。」
そういった想いから東北の仮設住宅建設に携わった皆様と
沖永良部の私達は、台風常襲地帯の沖永良部に
この仮設住宅を移設し“結ログ”という新しい活用を考えました。
